His Breath🌬

Breath is crucial to our existence. When it is present, it comes with hope, opportunity, and potential. When that breath is the very breath of God, something even greater happens. Did you know the amount of air we breathe over a lifetime weighs about 300 tons? In Luke 23:46 Jesus breathed what they thought was His last breath. “Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When He had said this, He breathed his last.” But wait! Look at it this way, Jesus started His life with the same breath He committed His spirit and it was the same breath that resurrected Him from that borrowed tomb! The Spirit of God is the breath of God. And God’s spirit brings us to life. He empowers us for our purpose and he points us to Jesus. Without the breath of God and the blood of Jesus coursing through the veins of the church, the body dies and the runner falls short of the finish line.
