It doesn’t matter how high you ascend in life, everyone sits on their bottoms. Humility comes from the Latin word humilis, which literally means low. In Mathew 23:11-12 (msg)  we are asked a question and then given an priceless answer; “Do you want to stand out? Then step down. Be a servant. If you puff yourself up, you’ll get the wind knocked out of you. But if you’re content to simply be yourself, your life will count for plenty.” How many of us would like to be on plenty and not empty. God is saying to empty yourself of yourself so that He can fill you with true humility. C.S. Lewis put it this way, “True humility is not thinking less of yourself; it is thinking of yourself less.” So today remember the ‘low’ road is generally the hardest road to take however, it is the most rewarding!!
