The flip side of revenge is forgiveness! Forgiving someone who offended you doesn’t mean you forget what was done rather it means you surrender your right to continually dwell on the offense. Dr. King said, “We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.”  So today, if you are harboring past hurts ask God to give you the courage and strength to release that dead weight (s) because hating them is actually killing you!
