So why is developing Godly character so difficult? Well, Helen Keller hit the nail on the head when she said, “Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.” Paul backed her up in Romans 5:3-4 when he said, “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment.” So today know that God loves us, He is aware of every problem, trial, and circumstance. We too can rejoice in knowing that our victory is already won and that our hope in God builds Godly character!
