How do we find restoration, hope, and healing in a world that is fallen? First, we must know the Source of restoration, hope, and healing. As Judah was preparing to war against the Chaldeans, The Lord said to Jeremiah in Chp 33:6-9; “Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing to it; I will heal my people and will let them enjoy abundant peace and security. I will bring Judah and Israel back from captivity and will rebuild them as they were before. I will cleansethem from all the sin they have committed against me and will forgive all their sins of rebellion against me. Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it.” The Lord promised to guide us, satisfy us, prosper us, refresh us, rebuild us, repair us, and restore us all for His glory and our good. With the barrage of issues we endure on a day-to-day basis it’s hard to hear His voice but know this; just because God appears to be silent doesn’t mean He is deaf, blind, or unaware of our sufferings. I Peter 5:10 says, “In His grace God called you [us] to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you [we] have suffered a little while, He will restore, support, and strengthen you [us], and He will place you [us] on a firm foundation.” Today remember there is only One who can restore hope and heal this fallen world….Jesus Christ. So don’t give up rather give thanks to the Lord for He is good and His mercy endures forever!
