One of my most favorite comeback movie of all times is Rocky and coming in at a close second would be Rudy. Who doesn’t like it when the underdog prevails in the end? As Christians at times, doesn’t it feel like we’re the underdogs? In contrast to both Rocky and Rudy, we may not have a ‘CROWD’ of people cheering our name during life’s difficult moments, disappointments,and loses but we do have a ‘CLOUD’ of witnesses calling our names and cheering us on to pre-ordained victory. Hebrews 12:1 says, “Therefore then, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses [who have borne testimony to the Truth], let us strip off and throw aside every encumbrance (unnecessary weight) and that sin which so readily (deftly and cleverly) clings to and entangles us, and let us run with patient endurance and steady and active persistence the appointed course of the race that is set before us.” Although our stories are different, for those who are in Christ; the ending of our story are all the same. If you have experience one of life’s many setbacks remember the Author and Finisher is setting you up for a miraculous, unexplainable, and unbelievable comeback.
