When you grow up with 4 other brothers, it ain’t no such thang as having your own pet. Mainly because everyone in the house wants ‘sharing’ privileges. So I found the least desirable pet; a turtle. The thing is, I fell in loved with Mr. Turtle and when he died of malnutrition (I was a kid) I was heart broken. Weeks later after I buried Mr. Turtle, I exhumed his bones in efforts to fossilize his remains. My plan was working out well until my mom discovered that I hid the remains in her desk draw. I guess the smell gave it away. Needless to say, I found my self redepositing his remains back in the original shallow grave. My point is when you truly love something it’s hard to live without it. From His righteous throne to a stinky manger, Jesus was determined and dead-set on reconciling humanity with Divinity! 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Talk about real love; it just don’t get any realer than this!
