In Luke 17:11-19 Jesus was on His way to Jerusalem and when He reached the border between Galilee and Samaria 10 lepers stood at a distance crying out, “Heal us!” Jesus responded, “Go show yourselves to the priest.” And while on their way, all 10 of them were healed. Of the 10, one of men realized that he was already healed. Overwhelmed with joy and the newfound promise of a future life he stopped dead in his tracks, went back to Jesus, and bowed before Him. Perhaps he remembered that he didn’t do anything to deserve this mercy. All he did was cry out and Jesus heard him. Jesus didn’t have to heal him because He didn’t owe him anything. As it was back then so it is today. Jesus doesn’t owe us anything. However, He loves us despite of our sins and our proclivity to sin. A 100% of the lepers were healed but only 10% went back to give God glory. Jesus said to the one who came back in vv 17-19, “Didn’t I heal 10 men? Has no one return to give glory to God except you? Stand up and go, your faith has healed you!” I don’t know about you but, God has healed me from many wounds and I wanna be like the man who paused to give Him glory. I say to You Lord, that if I have ever forgotten to give You glory, forgive me! I Thank You for everything You have done, for what You are doing, and for what You are getting ready to do for me!
