Jesus said in Matthew 17:20, “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Well, the million dollar question is what if the mountain that needs to move is you?!
Ar the top of the morning, no matter what stands in our way, we serve a God who knocks down walls; opens doors; makes ways; delivers the bound; mends the broken; gives strength to the weak; increases those who are lacking; heals the sick; and causes His people to always triumph.
However, in order to experience these promises in our lives we have to get out of our own way. We have to get out of ourselves! We have to get out of our own thoughts and out of our comfort zones. Noel Pinnock once said, “When we allow comfort to enter our homes as a guest, it can remain as our host, and eventually it becomes our master.”
Undoubtedly, we have to force ourselves to break outside that small box labeled comfort. We have to challenge ourselves to trust God when He prunes and stretches. We have to say ‘no’ to complacency, small-minded thinking, and negativity.
So then, how do we get out of our own way? That’s easy. We begin by trusting God’s way and believing that, no matter what it looks like, there is absolutely nothing that can prevent God from doing what He wants to do. You are not too old; too young; too sick; too broke; too uneducated; too inexperienced; too damaged; too mentally confused; or too messed up to see God move in your favor.
There’s a reason for that, which is what I’m stirring into your cup of encouragement, empowerment, and inspiration. The answer to why your limitations don’t limit God is found in Genesis 18:14 where God said to Abraham, in the middle of his battle with doubt over the promise, “Is anything too hard for the LORD?”
My brothers and sisters, “If our hope is built on faulty PREMISES, we will not believe nor receive God’s PROMISES. A foundation of fear, doubt and worry will kill your faith in hard times. You must build your hope upon the word of God and nothing or no one else!
As you continue to drink down the contents of your cup, ask God if it’s you that need to be moved and if so….then move! Be bless on purpose and encouraged because there is no obstacle that can block God from carrying out His sovereign will. There is nothing He can’t do. Don’t fret, doubt, fear, worry, or laugh in disbelief. God is alway with you, even until the end of this age (Matthew 28:20)!
