As born again-dip in the blood believers, we know that our true destination is not of this world. Our ultimate goal is to reach Heaven and to dwell in the presence of our Lord for eternity. If your end goal isn’t to hear, “Well done good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21), you’re one of the reasons I still have a job to do!
Scripture reminds us that our citizenship is in Heaven (Philippians 3:20), and we are merely sojourners on this earth. Our time here is temporary, and we are called to live with an eternal perspective. This means focusing not just on the here and now but on the everlasting life that awaits us.
While we are on this earthly journey, we have a divine mission—to recruit others for the Kingdom of God. Jesus’ Great Commission calls us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). We are ambassadors for Christ, sharing His love, grace, and truth with those around us. Every interaction, every act of kindness, and every word of encouragement can be an opportunity to point others towards the hope we have in Jesus.
My brothers and sisters, living with Heaven as our destination gives us purpose and direction. It shapes our values, our priorities, and our actions. We are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:30-31). By doing so, we reflect the light of Christ in a world that desperately needs it.
Remember that we are not alone on this journey. God is with us every step of the way, guiding us, strengthening us, and providing for us. We also have each other, a community of believers, to support and encourage one another. Let’s stay focused on our heavenly destination, and let’s be diligent in recruiting others to join us in this incredible journey.
May we humbly live each day with the assurance of our heavenly home and the determination to bring as many people with us as possible. Heaven is not only a free gift paid for by Christ, it’s also the ultimate destination, and we are here recruiting for the Kingdom.
PS: This message has nothing to do with religion rather our relationship in Christ!
