Have you ever been in a situation where the weight of your burdens felt too heavy to carry? Maybe it was the pain of loss, the struggle of a broken relationship, or the overwhelming uncertainty of what comes next. In those moments, it’s easy to feel inadequate, powerless, and utterly defeated. However, Jesus reminds us of this very important truth about life’s overwhelming struggles and obstacles in Matthew 19:26 and He said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Here’s the whole truth and nothing but the truth; we were never meant to handle life’s challenges on our own. The beauty of our faith is that when we reach the end of our strength, God steps in. His power is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). When we say, “I can’t,” God whispers back, “But I can.”
Throughout Scripture, we see countless examples of people who faced impossible circumstances:
• Moses couldn’t part the Red Sea, but God did.
• Joshua and the children of Israel couldn’t defeat Jericho but God put a shout of praise in their mouths!
• David couldn’t defeat Goliath on his own, but God guided his stone.
• The disciples couldn’t feed thousands with five loaves and two fish, but Jesus multiplied them.
My brothers and sisters, what these stories teach us is that our limits don’t limit God. He specializes in taking the impossible and making it possible. When you’re standing in front of a mountain too big to climb, remember that God can move it. We your facing an obstacle greater than your capacity, remember there is nothing greater than God. When you’re stuck in a valley too deep to escape, God can lift you out! At the end of the day, when I can’t, I know a God that can!!
Pray with me:
Father God, I come before You today acknowledging my limits. I can’t do this on my own, but I know that You can. Help me to trust You in every circumstance and lean on Your strength instead of my own. Thank You for being a God who turns impossibilities into miracles. In Jesus’ name, Amen and Amen and amen!
