Turning Worry To Worship!

Undoubtedly, this fallen world brings battles to our doorsteps—some expected, others that catch us off guard. Worry often becomes our default response, filling our minds with “what ifs” and worst-case scenarios. But what if, instead of catastrophizing, we chose to worship?

Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:6 that we are called to bring everything—our fears, our grief, our struggles—to God in prayer with thanksgiving. Worship shifts our focus from our pain to God’s power. It reminds us that He is in control, even when everything feels uncertain.

When King Jehoshaphat faced an overwhelming enemy in 2 Chronicles 20, he didn’t rely on his army—he turned to God in worship. As the people praised, God fought the battle for them, bringing victory without them lifting a sword.

I have personally experienced the power of worship in one of the hardest battles of my life—when my twin brother went home to be with the Lord. The pain of loss was overwhelming, and the weight of grief felt intensely unbearable. But in that season, I learned that worship was not just something we do in good times; it is a precious lifeline in the storms. When I turned my sorrow into worship, God met me there. He didn’t take away the pain immediately, but He gave me peace, strength, and the assurance that my twin brother is with Him.

Your battles may look different—grief, financial struggles, health concerns, relationship challenges—but the principle remains the same. When we surrender our worries to God and choose to worship, He moves on our behalf. He may not change the situation right away, but He will change us, giving us the grace to walk through it.

Today, my beloved brothers and sisters, instead of letting anxiety, worry, or sorrow take over, lift your voice in praise. Trust that the same God who fought for Jehoshaphat is fighting for you. Your battles are in His hands, and He is turning them into blessings.

Pray with me:

Father God, I surrender my worries and my grief to You. Instead of dwelling on my pain, I choose to worship You. Help me to trust that You are fighting for me, even when I don’t understand. Thank You for Your peace, Your presence, and the promise that my loved ones who know You are safe in Your arms. I believe You will turn my battles into blessings. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen, Amen, and Amen!
