Put It There…Leave It There!

ICYDK: It’s one thing to say, “I trust God.” It’s another to actually let go of what you’re carrying.

No cap—we pray, then worry. We surrender, then try to control. We give it to God, then snatch it right back the moment it doesn’t go our way.

But peace doesn’t come from partial surrender—it comes from total release. God wants us to trust that when we put everything in His hands and leave it there, He’s got us.

1 Peter 5:7 affirms this spiritual truth by encouraging believers to: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” Undoubtedly, God’s hands are stronger than yours. Wiser than yours. More capable than yours. And they were pierced for you—so you can trust they’ll never drop what you give Him.

Whatever it is—the worry, the outcome, the fear, the future—He can handle it. And not just handle it… redeem it. Work through it. And He is always faithful to bring something good out of it.

Contrary to what some think, letting go isn’t weakness—it’s faith. And faith says: “God, I don’t need to have the answers—I just need to trust the One who does.”

So today, my beloved brothers and sisters, take a deep breath. Lay it down. And don’t pick it back up. His hands are big enough. His wisdom is sharp enough. His heart is kind enough. And His timing is perfectly impeccable.

Pray with me:
Father God and reigning King of kings and Lord of lords, I release what I’ve been holding too tightly. I trust You with my blessings, my burdens, my hopes, my needs, and my unknowns. Help me not just to give it to You—but to leave it with You. I believe You’re working even when I can’t see it.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise.
Amen.
