I know—life hasn’t gone the way you planned. The vision you had for your future feels distant. The doors you prayed would open are still closed. The people you thought would stay have left. And somewhere between hope and heartbreak, you’ve quietly asked yourself, “Maybe it’s not going to happen after all.” But I came to remind you today: It’s still gonna happen.
God doesn’t change His mind because of delays. The promise He made over your life didn’t come with an expiration date—it came with a divine appointment. It may not come when you expected or how you imagined, but if God said it, He will do it. Numbers 23:19 says, “God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not fulfill it?”
Even when things fall apart, God is still putting things together. He works behind the scenes, orchestrating the pieces you can’t see yet. Romans 8:28 reminds us, “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” What feels like a detour is often divine positioning. What looks like a delay may be God’s protection.
Don’t let discouragement drown out your expectation. You haven’t missed it. You’re not disqualified. If anything, the fact that you’re still here—still believing, still trying, still praying—is proof that the promise still lives. Habakkuk 2:3 says, “Though it lingers, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.” God’s timing may not match your calendar, but it will always be perfect.
So lift your head. Straighten your shoulders. Keep sowing in faith, even when you don’t see the harvest yet. Your tears are not wasted. Your prayers are not forgotten. It’s still gonna happen—not because you deserve it, but because He promised it. And He’s too faithful to fail.
Pray with me:
Father God, thank You for being faithful, even when I feel faithless. Help me to trust in Your timing and rest in Your promises. When I’m tempted to give up, remind me that Your Word never returns void. Renew my hope today, Lord. Reignite my expectation. I declare Philippians 1:6 over my story because I believe what You’ve started in my life, You will finish. Strengthen my faith to keep walking, keep waiting, and keep believing—because I know it’s still gonna happen. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen.
