GOD’S WILL IS STRONGER THAN OUR PLANS….
We make plans. We map things out. We dream, decide, and determine what should happen — and then life unfolds in ways we didn’t expect. Some doors slam shut. Others take too long to open. But Proverbs 16:9 brings our striving into perspective: “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
This doesn’t mean planning is wrong — it means that God’s will has the final say, and that’s a good thing. Because no matter how much we prepare or push, if it’s not part of His purpose, it won’t prosper. And if it is His will? Nothing and no one can stop it. Not time. Not delay. Not opposition. Not even our own missteps.
So if the door is still closed, trust Him. If the relationship ended, trust Him. If the job didn’t come through, trust Him. It’s not rejection — it may be redirection. If it’s not God’s will, He has a better plan — one that protects you, grows you, and leads to something more aligned with your calling than you can currently see.
Peace doesn’t come from everything going our way. Peace comes from trusting the One who’s leading the way. He sees the whole picture. He knows the perfect time. And His “yes” carries more weight than all the “nos” the world could ever give you.
So, my beloved brothers and sisters, I invite you to take a deep breath today. Let go of the anxiety. Loosen your grip on what you thought had to happen. And rest in this truth: If it’s God’s will, it will happen. If it’s not, He has something better.
PRAY WITH ME:
Father, thank You that You direct my steps, even when my plans don’t work out. Teach me to trust Your will above my own. Help me to rest in Your timing and not rush ahead. I surrender every “no,” every delay, and every disappointment — because I believe You hold something better. Give me peace in the process and confidence in Your plan. In Jesus’ name I pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen.
