“He Walks With Me”
Truthfully, I don’t walk with God—I can’t keep up with Him. He walks with me, and He waits for me every time I fall behind.
That’s the beautiful, humbling truth. God isn’t pacing ahead, demanding that we catch up. He’s the kind of Father who slows down for His children, who walks at the speed of grace. When we’re tired, He pauses. When we’re weak, He carries. When we fall, He kneels down beside us—not with condemnation, but with compassion.
So many of us feel like we’re failing at faith because we can’t “keep up.” But God never asked us to sprint—He asked us to trust. Isaiah 46:4 brings this truth to life, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He, I am He who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.”
You may not always have the strength to walk well, but He will always have the love to walk with you. Every step. Every stumble. Every restart.
Pray With Me
Father God,
Thank You for not expecting me to keep up, but choosing instead to keep company with me—right where I am. You never rush me, never abandon me, and never give up on me. Thank You for walking with me when I’m strong and waiting for me when I’m not. Teach me to trust the pace of grace. I don’t have to walk perfectly—I just have to walk with You. In Jesus’ name I pray, believe, receive, and praise.
Amen.
