“God Did It—And God Allowed It”
If anything good has ever happened in my life—God did it. Every open door, every healing, every unexpected blessing—it was His hand, not mine. His mercy, not my merit and not the universe. It’s all aboHis provision, not my power. James 1:17 says it clearly: “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
But if anything painful, confusing, or heartbreaking has happened in my life—God allowed it. Not to destroy me, but to develop me. Not to punish me, but to position me. There’s nothing I’ve walked through that caught Him by surprise. He may have allowed the storm, but He never abandoned me in it. Every test came with a purpose. Every tear carried a lesson. Every loss made space for something new.
So beloved, I can say this with confidence: whether God did it or allowed it—He’s still good. He’s been in control the whole time. The highs and the lows, the wins and the wounds—they’re all being woven into something beautiful.
If there’s anything I can boast in, it’s not my strength—it’s His sovereignty. The good? God did it. The hard? God allowed it. And through it all, He’s been faithful.
Pray With Me:
Father God, thank You for every good thing You’ve done in my life—and thank You for the things You’ve allowed, even when I didn’t understand them. I trust that nothing touches my life without passing through Your purpose. Help me to see Your hand in every moment—both the joyful and the painful. Let it all point me back to You. In Jesus’ name I pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen.
