“Don’t Let Anyone Put Out Your Fire”
When God ignites something in your soul—a calling, a passion, a holy conviction—it’s not meant to be dimmed by the opinions of others. People may not understand it. Some will doubt it. Others may even try to discourage you, not out of malice, but because they can’t see what God has shown you. But remember this: your fire was lit in heaven, not in the court of public opinion.
In 2 Timothy 1:6, The Apostle Paul told Timothy, “Fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you.” Flames die when they’re left untended—but they also weaken when they’re smothered by fear, criticism, or complacency. Your job is to guard it, fuel it, and let it burn brightly for the glory of God.
So Beloved, don’t let anyone put out the fire God started in you. Protect it like your life depends on it—because your purpose does. Feed it with prayer, with His Word, and with bold obedience. You weren’t made to be lukewarm. You were made to shine.
Pray With Me:
Father God, thank You for the fire You have placed in my heart. Help me to protect it from doubt, fear, and distraction. Teach me to fan it into flame, so my life burns brightly for You. Let my passion bring You glory, and let it never be extinguished. In Jesus’ name we pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen.
