The Pen Belongs To God!

“God’s Version Is Better”

There’s a quiet comfort in knowing that God is the Author of your story. You may have plans, dreams, and a clear idea of how things should unfold—but sometimes, God rewrites the script. Not to harm you, but to elevate you.

You may feel delayed, overlooked, or rerouted. But what if God’s detour is actually divine direction? What if the closed door was His kindness? What if the waiting room is where He’s building the strength you’ll need for the next chapter?

In Proverbs 16:9 King Solomon offers these comforting and encouraging words, “In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”

We don’t always see the plot twist coming, but we can trust the Author in every sacred pivot. His version includes peace you didn’t expect, blessings you didn’t see coming, and healing you thought would never arrive. His version is not just better—it’s eternally ordained.

So Beloved, stop trying to take the pen back. Let Him write. Let Him lead. Let Him unfold the masterpiece, even if it doesn’t look like the draft you had in mind.

Pray With Me:
Father God, thank You for writing my story. Even when I don’t understand every plot and/or scared pivot, I trust the Author. Help me release control, surrender my expectations, and lean into Your perfect will. I believe that what You’ve written according to Psalm 139:16 and what You’re rewriting writing in Proverbs 16:9 is far greater than anything I could imagine. O’God, the pen belongs to You and You alone! In Jesus’ name I pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen.
