“Love and Hate Can Never Be Friends!”
Beloved, love and hate can never walk in the same direction. They are opposites that cannot share the same heart. Where hate divides, love unites. Where hate destroys, love heals. To harbor both is to live in conflict, but to walk in love is to walk in God’s will.
The Old Testament tells us in Proverbs 10:12: “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.” Hate multiplies problems, but love multiplies peace. And the New Testament reminds us in 1 John 4:20: “Whoever claims to love God yet hates a brother or sister is a liar. For whoever does not love their brother and sister, whom they have seen, cannot love God, whom they have not seen.” Love and hate cannot live together—only love reflects God’s nature.
So Beloved, examine your heart. If hate has tried to take root, surrender it to God and let His Spirit fill you with love. Love and hate can never be friends—but love and grace can conquer anything.
Pray with me:
Father God, remove any root of hate from my heart and replace it with Your perfect love. Help me to walk in forgiveness, kindness, and compassion even when it is difficult. Let my life reflect Your love so clearly that hate finds no place within me. In Jesus’ name, we pray, believe, receive, and praise.
Amen.
