True Rest!

“True Rest Is Found in the Presence of God!”

Beloved, true rest isn’t found in the absence of chaos—it’s found in the presence of God. We often wait for the storm to stop before we breathe again, but God invites us to rest while the waves are still crashing. His peace doesn’t require perfect circumstances—it flows from perfect trust.

In the Old Testament, God spoke these words to Moses in Exodus 33:14: “The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’” After Israel’s rebellion in the wilderness, Moses refused to move forward without God’s presence. He knew no promised land, no blessing, and no success could replace the peace that comes from walking with God Himself. And in the New Testament, Jesus echoes this same truth in Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” True rest is not found in escape—it’s found in encounter.

So Beloved, stop searching for peace and rest in the absence of problems, trauma, and uncertainties. Peace and rest is not the result of control—it’s the result of surrender. When you sit in His presence, chaos loses its power, trauma losses its grip, and your soul finds calm in His unshakable love.

Pray with me:

Father God, thank You that true rest is not the absence of chaos but the assurance of Your presence. Like Moses, help me never to move ahead without You. When the noise around me grows loud, teach me to be still and know that You are God. Fill me with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, we pray, believe, receive, and praise. Amen.
