“He will cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.”
— Psalm 91:4 (NIV)
Heavenly Father,
We lift up the beautiful island of Jamaica, my daddy’s country — the land of strength, faith, and vibrant spirit. Lord, we ask for Your divine protection over every home, every family, and every shoreline as this hurricane approaches.
Cover the island under Your mighty wings. Calm the winds, still the waters, and guard my family — my uncle Jaime, my aunt Constance, their children, my cousins, and every loved one near and far. Surround them with Your hedge of protection and let no harm come near their dwelling.
Let Your peace rest upon the anxious, and let Your provision overflow where resources are scarce. Lord, You are greater than any storm — speak “Peace, be still” over Jamaica today. May Your hand of mercy and power rest upon every home and every heart.
We stand on the promise that “the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16, KJV). So we unite our voices and faith, believing that these prayers carry power — to move mountains, calm seas, and bring divine covering over our loved ones and the entire nation.
May this moment remind us that even in the fiercest winds, You are present and powerful. Surround Jamaica with Your grace, comfort the fearful, strengthen the weary, and restore what the storm tries to take away.
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray — Amen and Amen!
