Focus on the Faith you Do Have!

“Focus on the Faith You Do Have”

Beloved, sometimes we spend so much time staring at what we don’t have that we overlook the faith God has already placed within us. Lack can become a loud distraction—“I don’t have enough money… enough strength… enough answers… enough time.” But God never asked you to focus on what’s missing; He asked you to use what you do have. Your breakthrough won’t come from what you lack, but from the faith you’re willing to activate.

In the Old Testament, the prophet Elisha meets a widow in 2 Kings 4:2 and asks her a simple question: “What do you have in your house?” She began by saying she had nothing—except a small jar of oil. It was that small “except” God used to perform a miracle. Her focus shifted from what she lacked to what she possessed, and God multiplied it.

And in the New Testament, the apostle Paul reminds us in Romans 12:3: “God has dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Paul’s words reveal a powerful truth: you already have faith—God Himself placed it inside you. It may feel small, but Jesus said even faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. The miracle isn’t in the size of your faith; it’s in the God your faith is in.

So Beloved, stop focusing on what you don’t have and start focusing on the faith you do have. That faith is enough for God to work with. It’s enough to trust, enough to pray, enough to move forward, enough to believe that something greater is on the horizon. God never works through emptiness—He works through willingness.

Pray with me:

Father God, shift my focus from what I lack to the faith You’ve already given me. Teach me to trust You with the small things so You can move in big ways. Strengthen my heart to see possibility where I once saw limitation. Use the measure of faith within me to bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, we pray, believe, receive, and praise.

Amen.
