“Be Intentional”
Beloved, God’s love is unlike any other love you will ever encounter. It is incomprehensible, meaning it goes beyond what the human mind can fully grasp. It is infallible, meaning it cannot fail. And it is immutable, meaning it never changes. Long before you knew Him, long before you took your first breath, God set His love on you with a firmness that time, failure, or weakness cannot remove.
In the Old Testament, the Lord declares in Jeremiah 31:3, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” God’s love doesn’t fade, weaken, or shift with your behavior. It is everlasting—steady, pursuing, patient, and secure.
Furthermore, in the New Testament, Jesus affirms this unshakable truth in John 15:9, “As the Father has loved Me, so have I loved you. Now remain in My love.” Remaining in His love is not passive—it is intentional. It is choosing daily to believe what God says over what your emotions say. Choosing to receive what He freely gives. Choosing to respond with the same love He pours into you.
So Beloved, be intentional. Receive His love—because without receiving, you cannot remain. Remain in His love—because without remaining, you cannot respond. And respond with His love—because the world needs the God-kind of love working through you.
Think about it—Before you ever reached for God, He was reaching for you. His love is ancient, unshakable, and fiercely committed.
Pray with me: Father God, help me to be intentional today—to receive Your incomprehensible, infallible, immutable love. Teach me to remain in it, walk in it, and respond with it. Anchor my heart so deeply in Your love that nothing can pull me out of it. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance, Amen and Amen.
