Bucket🪣 List

“My Bucket List”

Beloved, the world encourages us to chase experiences, accomplishments, and milestones. Places to visit. Goals to achieve. Names to build. But when everything is stripped away, my bucket list is simple: making it to heaven.

Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:19–20 not to store up treasures on earth, where everything fades, but to store up treasures in heaven, where nothing is lost. Eternity puts everything into perspective. Success on earth is temporary — salvation is forever.

The Old Testament echoes this eternal focus. Psalm 39:4 says, “Show me, Lord, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.” When we remember how short life is, we live with greater intention. We choose what lasts. We prioritize what matters.

The New Testament makes the destination clear. Jesus says in John 14:2–3, “I go to prepare a place for you.” Heaven isn’t a vague hope — it’s a promised home. And every step of obedience, every act of love, every quiet surrender is moving us closer to that eternal promise.

So Beloved, live fully — but live faithfully. Enjoy the journey, but never forget the destination. Careers will end. Titles will fade. Earthly buckets will empty. But eternity with God will never run dry.

Because at the end of it all, heaven is the goal — and Jesus is the way (John 14:6).

Pray with me:
Father God, thank You for the promise of eternity with You. Help me live with heaven in mind and faith in my heart. Align my priorities with what lasts and guide my steps toward Your eternal purpose — in Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance, Amen!
