“Prayer, Decrees, and Declarations”
Beloved, prayer is more than speaking words toward heaven — praying is communion. It is the sacred place where our hearts meet God’s heart, where relationship comes before requests. In prayer, we align ourselves with His presence and His will.
The Old Testament reminds us of this intimacy in Psalm 25:14: “The Lord confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them.” Communion with God opens the door to understanding what He has already established.
From that place of communion comes authority. Decreeing is the jurisdictional enforcement of what God has established. It is not inventing new truth — it is standing firmly on what heaven has already declared. When we decree, we align our words with God’s authority.
The New Testament echoes this confidence in Matthew 18:18, where Jesus says, “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” The authority believers carry flows from heaven’s will, not human will.
And declaring is simply proclaiming what God has already said. Romans 10:17 reminds us that faith comes by hearing the Word of Christ. When we declare God’s truth, we reinforce what He has spoken over our lives.
The reality is this: communion reveals God’s will, decrees enforce it, and declarations proclaim it.
So Beloved, begin with communion. Let your prayers draw you close to God. From that place of intimacy, speak what heaven has already established.
Because the power of your words flows from the presence you dwell in.
Pray with me: Father God, draw me into deeper communion with You. Teach me to speak only what aligns with Your will and to declare the truth of Your Word with faith and humility — in Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance, Amen!
