I stop by this morning to tell you that death is not final and because of Christ, our Savior, death lost it’s sting some 2,000 years ago! For those who are in Christ will never die, they will live forever! On 5/16/2014 @10PM (CST) Heaven confirmed another reservation. The life we so fondly treasured is now intimately treasured by the One who created her life. Although my sweet Aunti Alecia will be immensely and sorely missed, I know her quality of life is better than it ever was. She was a true Christian believer and she knew that God’s called was greater than the sting of cancer. No, cancer isn’t the victor rather Aunti Alecia is the victor. You see life contrary to what we believe have term limits and I believe, once we fulfill that which God calls us to do, He calls us back home. He misses us more than we can imagine. The author of Hebrews 13:14 says, “For this world is not our home; we are looking forward to our city in Heaven, which is yet to come.”
Alecia was beautiful from the inside out. Her smile lit up a room! She never knew a stranger. I promise you her blonde locks where always picture perfect. To top it off she not only had the eyes, the hair, and the smile, she was one of the most intelligent women I’ve ever met! With all that said, she is at peace right now! I’m talking about unshakeable peace. The peace that surpasses all human comprehension! After a taste of this peace, who would ever desire to come back?
Remember after the fall of man, God never intended for us to live in eternal separation from Him on this planet rather He calls us to live in eternal communion with Him in Heaven.
Death is never easy to accept and embrace and human words without the expression of Godly love are ineffective. Therefore, I say that a sunset on earth, is a sunrise in Heaven! Beloved, I leave you with these words from I Thessalonians 4:15-18, “According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage one another with these words.”
Weeping endures for a night but joy cometh in the morning!!
We love you Aunti!!
