FAITH IS BIGGER THAN FEAR

What is fear? Fear is a vital response to perceived physical and emotional danger. Did you know that Phobia (aka) fear is the most common mental disorder in the U.S. Medically speaking there are many phobias that haunt everyday people however, the most common phobias are fear of heights, fear of flying, fear of public speaking,  fear of rejection,  fear of death,  fear of the dark, fear of insects/reptiles, fear of tight spaces, and fear of failure. I submit to you that my main phobia are cockroaches!!! I CANT STAND THEM. I am getting better….I don’t have to call my wife anymore to kill’em when we find one tying to set up shop at the crib! (I now call my son!!) Unarguably, many assume that fear is the absence of faith and this is an inaccurate assumption.  Fear is actually placing faith in the wrong things. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.” 2 Timothy 1:7. Watch this, the Holy Spirit is not the author of a timid or cowardly disposition, or of slavish fears.  Greater is He that is in you than________(fill in the blank). So today have faith in knowing “The spirit of power” is the spirit of man dwelt in by the Spirit of God imparting power; this power “cast out fear” from ourselves, and stimulates us to try to cast it out of others (1Jo 4:18).
