PUT IT ON!!

“But now it’s time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.” (Col 3:8,12)I was speaking to one of my brothers in Christ this week and he said to me that whenever we take something off God desires that we put something on. As mentioned in the above text anger is put off and tender hearted mercy is put on; rage is put off and kindness is put on and so forth. Every time I fail to put on the fruits of the spirit and I choose to satisfy my flesh the aftermath is always unpleasant. Choosing the right thing to do at times can be challenging but the results are so much more rewarding.
As it stands, “We are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)
