Love that can be turned off and on is not love at all. This kind of love is driven by materialism, unreasonable expectations, lust, and insecurity. Legendary Evangelist Billy Graham said, “Nothing can bring a real sense of security in a home except true love.” The ‘real love’ Graham is referring to isn’t found in human vessels rather, it’s found in Christ living through human vessels! Ellen G.White polishes my point, “True love is not a strong, fiery, impetuous passion. It is, on the contrary, an element calm and deep. It looks beyond mere externals, and is attracted by qualities alone. It is wise and discriminating, and its devotion is real and abiding” We all need to cast a wider net and we all need to venture into deeper waters when it comes to demonstrating love (grace). As it stands, the greatest of all the communicable gifts that God has granted access to is love (1 Corinthians 13:13), so please don’t take it for granted!
