What is the greatest of all commandments? Well in Mark 12:28-31 Jesus responded to one of the teachers of the law by saying, “The first is to ‘love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength’ and the second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Saints dipped in the resurrecting blood of Christ make note; this is not a request, rather a command. If God can love the unlovable in us why can’t we love the unlovable in others? 1 John 4:20 says, “someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? Love is not a in the moment type deal; it’s a lifestyle. So today rather than holding onto anger, bitterness, and/or resentment, choose love! Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”
