At times storms, test, and trials will hit you like rushing waves attempting to drown you in doubt, sorrow, misery, and despair. When this happens, you question God and wander, where is Jesus in all this mess? I Peter 5:10, “In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.” Peter’s apostolic epistle should remind us that although we are not excused from sufferings, through prayer we can ask God that our sufferings be moderate and short, and, after we suffered awhile, that He would restore us to a settled and peaceable condition, and continue to perfect his work in us. So where is Jesus in times of trouble? Psalm 23:4 and Matthew 28:20 reminds us that no matter what, He is always with you!
