Sometimes it’s perfectly okay to admit that you need help. It’s in these moments in life we are drawn closer to God. We can’t always shoulder the burdens we face in our lives alone. There is absolutely nothing wrong with calling out to God and saying, ‘Father, I am at my wits end and I need Your help.’ We see this in Psalm 50, verse 15, where the Lord says, “Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I shall rescue you, and you will honour Me.” In other words, ‘Call upon Me when you are helpless and I will help you’. So the good word for today is when we come to God empty-handed, the Bible tells us that God begins a radical change within us. In other words, though our journey towards God begins with empty hands, our hands should not remain empty.
