God Is Our Confidence!

It’s not uncommon to think we know all we need to know and that we know what to do to successfully progress in our earthly and spiritual pursuits. But let’s be honest, a humble heart is more beneficial than a proud heart! Proverbs 16:18 admonishment confirms, “Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.”

In contrast, the encouraging and humbling promise in Proverbs 3:25-26 says, “Do not be afraid of sudden terror or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes, for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught.”

The bottom line is we really never know enough until we recognize that God alone knows it all. God is our confidence and He is quite more than the confidence we put into ourselves and others. Besides, the last time I checked God is the only being that is omniscient (all-knowing).

Ultimately, all guidance both naturally and supernaturally derives from His Word in everything we do and wherever we go; He is the One who keeps us on track. God will always protect us and empower us to advance on a level that far exceeds all expectations and not to mention human comprehension. Ephesians 3:20 also confirms, “Now unto Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.”

That being said and in closing, there should be no doubt as to why we can boldly and faithfully trust that the Lord will be our confidence in all situations and circumstances!
