Not By Sight!

Let’s be honest—it’s easy to trust God when life is going well, when prayers are answered, doors are opening, and blessings seem abundant. But true faith is tested in the dark—in the moments when we can’t see the way forward, when prayers seem unanswered, and when we feel abandoned and alone. Paul reminded us of this critical truth in 2 Corinthians 5:7: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

You see, faith is not about trusting God only when things make sense; it’s about believing in His goodness even when we don’t understand. Abraham had to trust God when he left his homeland without knowing where he was going (Hebrews 11:8). Job clung to his faith even when he lost everything. And Jesus, in His darkest moment on the cross, still surrendered to the Father’s will.

If I am speaking to you right now, you may be walking through a season of uncertainty, pain, or waiting. But remember—God is still with you. The night may feel long, but morning is coming (Psalm 30:5). Keep trusting Him, even when you don’t see the full picture. Faith is believing that He is working behind the scenes, that His promises are true, and that His love never fails.

My brothers and sisters, our faith shines brightest in the darkest moments. So be strong, keep holding on, and never forget that God is always with you!

Pray with me:
Father God, help me to trust You not only in the light but also in the darkness. When I don’t understand, give me the faith to believe that You are still in control. Holy Spirit, please strengthen and fortify my heart to walk by faith and not by sight. In Jesus’ name I pray, believe, receive, and praise, Amen and Amen and Amen!
