When God Shows Up!
Beloved, have you ever reached a place where you simply didn’t know how you were going to make it? You looked at what you had, looked at what you needed, and the two didn’t match. Your strength was running low, your options were disappearing, and you couldn’t see a way forward.
And somehow—God showed up.
Not always the way you expected. Not always when you wanted. But somehow, at the moment you needed Him most, He made a way. A door opened. Help arrived. Strength came from somewhere you didn’t know you had. Peace settled over a situation that should have overwhelmed you.
That wasn’t luck. That was God.
In the Old Testament, Genesis 22:14 tells us that Abraham called the place “The Lord Will Provide.” Abraham couldn’t see the provision when he started climbing the mountain, but God already had a ram waiting. Abraham was trying to understand how, while God had already prepared what he needed.
Sometimes we’re asking, “God, how am I going to make it?” while God is saying, “Trust Me. I’ve already made provision for where I’m taking you.”
Likewise, in the New Testament, Philippians 4:19 declares, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” Our confidence isn’t in having everything figured out. Our confidence is in knowing the One who does.
Beloved, look back over your life. There were moments you thought would break you—but you’re still here. There were nights you cried and wondered how you would face another morning—but morning came. There were situations you had absolutely no idea how you would survive—and somehow, God carried you through.
So maybe you’re standing in another one of those moments right now. You don’t know how the bills will get paid. You don’t know how the situation will turn around. You don’t know where the strength will come from.
You don’t have to know how when you know Who.
The God who provided before is still Jehovah Jireh. The God who carried you before hasn’t changed. And if He’s been faithful every other time you didn’t know how you were going to make it, why would He stop being faithful now?
Pray with me: Father God, thank You for every time You showed up when I couldn’t see a way forward. When I don’t understand how I’m going to make it, help me remember that You are already there. Replace my worry with trust, my fear with faith, and my uncertainty with confidence in You. You have carried me before, and I believe You will carry me again. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance. Amen.
