I invite you to read Matthew 18:23-35….it’s certainly speaks volumes!! After Peter asks Jesus how often he should forgive someone who sins against him, Jesus tells the story of a servant whose massive debt is forgiven by the king, but who refuses to forgive a smaller debt owed to him and is tortured for it. The celestial implication of this parable is that God will forgive all sins, and you should too!
A hallmark of the Christian journey is the commitment to become a forgiving person, not just one offense, but as an essential virtue with you all the time. Forgiveness is one of the main themes of Jesus’ teaching and example. As he breathed his last on the cross, He prayed, “Forgive them, they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34)
In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus taught us to pray “forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Essentially, the prayer asks, “God forgive me, but only to the extent that I am forgiving of others.”
As mentioned above, just before Jesus tells this profound parable, in verse 22 He answered Peter’s question regarding how many times to forgive others by saying this; “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times!”😳
Forgiveness is swallowing when you’d rather spit and it is about letting it go and deciding not to retaliate—to quit ruminating on revenge fantasies. It’s about finding a healthy way to deal with your anger so that it doesn’t consume you. Forgiveness is about focusing on more positive things for yourself by stepping out of the cycle of always feeling like you need to strike back to prove your strength which only leads them to strike back and so on.
Gandhi said, “An eye for an eye world will soon go blind.” Jesus said, “You have heard it said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but I say to you repay no one evil for evil, instead repay evil with good.”
My brothers and sisters, I get it.. forgiveness is one of those roads that is difficult to travel, easier said than done, you won’t always get it right, but you don’t have to let it eat you up! I strongly advise that before you entered into 2022 let it go, forgive the debt(s), and remember forgiveness opens the door to your own freedom from the past!
The best gift you can ever give yourself and someone else is forgiveness…..

F-E-A-R has two meanings: ‘Forget Everything And Run’ or ‘Face Everything And Rise.’ The choice is yours.
Canadian preacher A.B. Simpson said, “Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things that do not at present and may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Do not misunderstand me danger is very real but fear is a choice. Fear is born of Satan, and if we would only take time to think a moment we would see that everything Satan says is founded upon a falsehood.”
The enemy can confuse even the godliest believers and cause them to live in anxiety. I’ve been there and I’ve struggled with this. If you’re anything like me, you have also faced these battles in your mind. You think that something bad is going to happen. You must recognize where these thoughts come from. These thoughts are from the enemy. Don’t believe them! The cure for those struggling with these discouraging thoughts is to trust in the Lord. God says, “don’t worry about your life. I will be your Provider. I will take care of your needs.” (Matthew 6:33)
God is in control of our life. I know it’s easier said than done, but if God is in control, you never have to worry about a thing! There is nothing that goes on in your life that He doesn’t already know about (Psalm 139). You have to be still and get to know who He us and always put your confidence in God.
There are several verses in the Bible that address this false emotion, but my go to verse comes out of Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.“

Abba Father, I pray that every curse spoken, written, or transferred against me is broken by the blood of Jesus. I decree that every curse that the enemy and his agents are trying to reinforce in my life is null and void. I paralyze all the works of the enemy over my life.
With that said, Father God, I thank you Lord for everything you’ve done for me. Forgive me of all of my sins. Be the Lord of my life. Create in me a clean heart and renew in me a right spirit through the renewal of my mind. Heal me from the hurt of my past and my past from all the hurt I caused. I love you and need you. Cover me with Your precious and Holy Blood, and well as my family, my friends, and even those who prey against me.
Father God, give me Your dreams and release your unyielding and unstoppable promises into every area of my life. I trust and believe that You will always perform that which You promise and so as my days are so shall be my strength (Duet 33:25)!
Father God, I fervently ask that You bless and protect everyone that seeks you, needs you, and believes in You. In the matchless and ever present name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, amen and amen and amen!!!

Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope.” Having hope gives you the courage to think that things would get better with time despite the odds being not in your favor; hope is the only thing that keeps you moving forward, it gives you the strength and ability to bounce back from whatever the obstacle you are going through. Having real hope would always help a person to move ever upward. Hope is also a supernatural phenomenon where our God has asked us to have hope and trust in Him. So how one can we lose hope when it’s something that has been instructed upon us by our Lord?
Romans 5:2-5 says this, “Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”
It’s never too late to change yourself for better. It’s never too late for God’s miracles. Start today. In fact, make up your mind right now that you’ll never let your circumstances control your thoughts. Because having hope strengthens your faith and leaves you with the promise of God’s love.
