How do we respond when God answers our prayers with a “Yes”?! ‘Y’all be’ all up on social media posting pictures of new homes, cars, jewelry, and other notable accomplishments. But what happens when God says “NO”! Lets be honest; we get a little frustrated and disappointed to say the least. We have the tendency to forget that God is omniscient (all knowing). Therefore, He knows more than we do. God will always say “No” to anything we ask for that we’re not ready for or that will cause us harm.
God’s “No” is not rejection, but redirection (2 Sam 7), God’s “No” isn’t punishment, it’s preparation (Romans 5) and God’s “No” helps us to develop our perseverance and character in Christ!
Ask yourself; will God Close a door just to open a window? No! God’s “No” to one thing is a “Yes” to another. Romans 8:28 is a great reminder for everyone that has accepted Christ into their lives that, “…in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” Yes, God promises that He will work together everything we experience–even the hard and painful stuff–for our good in ways that are better than we could ever imagine.
