Nothing Happens Serendipitously!

“Nothing Happens Serendipitously”

Beloved, nothing in your life happens serendipitously. You are not the result of randomness, coincidence, or spiritual chance. Every step, every delay, every open door, and even every closed one is filtered through the hands of a sovereign God. What feels accidental to you is often intentional in heaven. God does nothing casually, and He wastes nothing—not your waiting, not your wandering, and not even your wounds.

The psalmist David declares in Psalm 37:23: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and when He delights in his way.” This means your steps are not merely happening—they are being guided. David reminds us that God is not just watching your journey; He is actively directing it. Even when you don’t understand the route, God is still delighting in the path He is shaping for you. This is proof that your life is not accidental—it is authored.

And the apostle Paul writes in Ephesians 5:15–16: “Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil.” Paul teaches that God’s design requires intentional participation. Divine purpose does not remove personal responsibility. In Proverbs 16:9 we learn that God orders the steps, but we must choose to walk in wisdom. Intentional living is how we align with intentional design.

So Beloved, stop calling your life “chance” when God calls it calling. Where you are is not random. What you survived was not by luck. What you’re growing through is not meaningless. Nothing happens serendipitously when God is the one orchestrating your story. Walk deliberately. Pray deliberately. Love deliberately. Serve deliberately. Live like God actually planned this… because—He did.

Pray with me: Father God, thank You that my life is not random and my steps are not accidental. Teach me to live intentionally, to walk wisely, and to trust Your ordering even when I don’t see the full picture. Align my heart with Your purpose and my decisions with Your design. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance, Amen and Amen!
