What The Fire Couldn’t Destroy!

“What The Fire Couldn’t Destroy”

Beloved, I know you’re hurt.
I know you’re tired. And I know something inside of you feels like it has been dragged through fire.

But hear me clearly: It’s time to get back up!!

Not because the pain was small, not because the betrayal didn’t cut deep and not because the battle didn’t exhaust you. But because God did not preserve you just to leave you broken on the ground.

The fire may have touched your life, but it did not consume your purpose. Because sometimes God allows the fire not to destroy us—but to reveal what was always inside of us. Strength. Endurance. Faith. Dependency on Him. And a testimony that could only be born through survival.

Isaiah 43:2 says, “When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you.” Notice God did not say “if” you go through the fire. He said “when.” Meaning the fire was expected—but so was His presence.

Likewise, in the New Testament, 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 reminds us:
“We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; struck down, but not destroyed.”

You may feel struck down right now…but you are not destroyed.

So wipe your tears, catch your breath, and stand back up again. Not in your own strength, but in the strength God continues to provide one day at a time. Because the enemy thought the fire would silence you, weaken you, and make you quit. But God is about to use the very thing that tried to break you as proof that His grace still carries you.

And maybe you do not feel strong today. That’s okay. Even getting back up slowly is still getting back up. Therefore, do not allow pain to convince you your story is over. God still has purpose for your life. There is still joy ahead, there is still calling ahead, and there is still healing ahead.

The fire changed you…but it also revealed what paul said in Romans 8:37 that, “you are more than a conqueror.”

Pray with me: Father God, when life has worn me down and the fire feels overwhelming, give me strength to rise again. Heal the places that hurt, restore what feels broken, and remind me that I am never fighting alone. Help me trust that even through hardship, You are still shaping purpose, faith, and endurance within me. Thank You for carrying me through every battle and for never letting the fire consume me— in Jesus name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance, Amen.
