“Nobody But God”
Beloved, if you are honest about your journey, there are some chapters of your life that can only be explained by three words:
Nobody but God.
Nobody but God could have carried you through that loss. Nobody but God could have opened that door. Nobody but God could have healed that wound. Nobody but God could have given you peace when everything around you was falling apart.
There are moments when people see the blessing but do not know the battle. They see the smile but do not know the tears. They see the testimony but do not know the prayers whispered in the middle of the night when only God was listening.
But God knows. He saw every tear. He heard every prayer. He felt every burden. And through every valley, every setback, and every storm, He never left your side.
In the Old Testament, the psalmist declared in Psalm 124:1-2, “If it had not been the Lord who was on our side…” David understood that every victory, every breakthrough, and every deliverance pointed back to God’s faithfulness.
Likewise, in the New Testament, Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; struck down, but not destroyed.”
Why? Because God was sustaining him. And God is sustaining you.
The truth is, there are storms you should not have survived. There are obstacles that should have stopped you. There are burdens that should have broken you. Yet here you are—still standing, still believing, still trusting, and still praising.
Not because you had all the answers, not because you never struggled and not because you were strong enough on your own. But because God’s grace carried you every step of the way.
So when you look back over your life, do not take all the credit. Give God the glory. Because the doors He opened, no one could shut. The peace He provided, no one could manufacture. The strength He supplied, no one else could give. And the miracle He performed, no one else could claim.
When others ask how you made it through, your answer may be simple:
Nobody but God.
Pray with me: Father God, thank You for Your faithfulness throughout every season of my life. Thank You for carrying me when I was weak, guiding me when I was uncertain, and providing for me when I did not know how things would work out. Help me never forget that every good thing comes from You. May my life always point back to Your goodness, Your grace, and Your glory.
