He Deserves The Honor!

I OWE GOD A LIFETIME OF PRAISE

Beloved, when I look back over my life, I realize something: I owe God a lifetime of praise for how many times He made a way for me.

There were times I couldn’t see the answer. Times when I didn’t know how things were going to work out. Times when the door looked closed, the resources looked insufficient, and the situation looked impossible. Yet somehow, God made a way.

And here’s what humbles me: God didn’t only make a way when I got everything right. He made ways for me even when I made mistakes. He showed me mercy when I didn’t deserve it, gave me another chance when I needed it, and remained faithful even when my faith wasn’t as strong as it should have been.

David said in Psalm 34:1, “I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.”

At all times. Not just when the prayer is answered. Not just when the money comes. Not just when the diagnosis changes or the door opens. I praise Him now because I’ve lived long enough to know that the same God who made a way before is still God today.

Some things I once prayed desperately for are things I now take for granted. Some storms I thought would destroy me are now testimonies I barely talk about. Some doors God closed broke my heart—until I discovered what He was protecting me from.

So I have a reason to praise Him. Actually, I have a lifetime of reasons.

When I think about the prayers He answered, I praise Him. When I think about what He protected me from that I never even saw, I praise Him. When I remember the times He carried me when I didn’t have the strength to carry myself, I praise Him.

And if God never did another thing for me, Jesus and the cross have already given me enough reason to praise Him forever.

Pray with me: Father God, forgive me for the times I’ve forgotten how many ways You’ve already made. Thank You for every opened door, every closed door, every answered prayer, every unseen protection, and every moment Your grace carried me. As long as I have breath, may praise remain on my lips. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance. Amen.

I OWE GOD A LIFETIME OF PRAISE FOR HOW MANY TIMES HE MADE A WAY FOR ME.
