Be Careful What You Let In!

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU LET IN

Beloved, think about this picture: the ear can remind us of a womb. A womb receives, carries, develops, and eventually gives birth. In a similar way, what we continually allow into our ears can begin to grow inside us.

That’s why what you listen to matters. Romans 10:17 says, “Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.” Faith can be conceived through hearing.

But the opposite can happen too. Fear can grow through what you repeatedly hear. Bitterness can grow. Doubt can grow. Anger can grow. If you keep feeding something through your ears, eventually it can begin shaping your thoughts, your beliefs, and your actions.

Jesus said in Mark 4:24, “Consider carefully what you hear.” That is a serious warning. Not every voice deserves access to you. Not every conversation deserves residence in your spirit. Not every opinion deserves to become a seed in your heart.

Spiritually speaking, your ears are gateways. What enters repeatedly can eventually produce fruit. So ask yourself: What am I allowing to grow inside me?

If you want greater faith, hear more of God’s Word. If you want peace, stop feeding your mind constant fear. If you want wisdom, listen to voices that point you toward Christ.

What you keep hearing today may become what you start believing tomorrow.

Pray with me: Father God, guard my ears and my heart. Give me wisdom to recognize what I should receive and what I should reject. Let Your Word be the strongest voice in my life, and let what I hear produce faith, peace, wisdom, and obedience. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance. Amen.

WHAT ENTERS YOUR EAR CAN EVENTUALLY GIVE BIRTH TO SOMETHING IN YOUR LIFE.
