Jesus Is The Law

Jesus, Is The Law of Moses!

Beloved, the Pharisees knew the Law. They studied it, quoted it, taught it, and defended it. Yet when the One to whom the Scriptures pointed stood right in front of them, many of them couldn’t recognize Him.

Imagine knowing the words but missing the Word made flesh.

Jesus declared in Matthew 5:17, “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”

Jesus wasn’t competing with what Moses had written. He was fulfilling what Moses had written.

That’s why Jesus told the religious leaders in John 5:46, “If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.”

Think about the weight of that statement. They were appealing to Moses while rejecting the One Moses was pointing toward.

And there’s a warning in that for us today. We can know Scripture and still fail to surrender to the Savior. We can attend church, quote verses, understand doctrine, and become so focused on religious activity that we miss a genuine relationship with Jesus.

The Bible wasn’t given merely to fill our heads with information. It leads us to Christ and transforms our lives through truth.

Jesus fulfilled what we could never fulfill perfectly. Where humanity failed, Christ remained obedient. And through His death and resurrection, He accomplished what our works could never accomplish—reconciliation with God.

So don’t merely know what the Bible says.

Know the One the Bible reveals.

Don’t allow religion to bring you close to Jesus while your heart remains far from Him. Open the Scriptures looking for Christ. Listen for His voice. Follow His teachings. Surrender your life to Him.

Because Moses gave Israel the Law, but the Law ultimately points us toward Jesus Christ.

Pray with me: Father God, thank You for Your Word and for sending Jesus Christ to fulfill Your redemptive purpose. Keep me from knowing Scripture intellectually while missing You spiritually. Give me eyes to see Christ throughout Your Word, a heart willing to obey Him, and faith that produces a transformed life. May I never settle for religion when You have invited me into relationship. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance. Amen.
