GOD HAS ALREADY PREPARED THE WAY
Beloved, sometimes we’re asking God to open a door He has already opened. The delay may not be because the way isn’t ready. The delay may be because God is still preparing us to walk through it.
We often want the opportunity before we’re ready for the responsibility. We want the blessing before our character is strong enough to carry it. We want the next season while God is still developing the faith, patience, discipline, and wisdom we’ll need when we get there.
Deuteronomy 31:8 says, “The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” God doesn’t send us somewhere He hasn’t already gone.
That means the path ahead may feel uncertain to us, but it isn’t uncertain to Him.
Think about David. He was anointed king long before he sat on the throne. The promise was already there, but David still had years of preparation ahead of him. The field, the battles, the waiting, even the caves were developing the man who would eventually carry the crown.
Sometimes what feels like a delay is actually development. Philippians 1:6 reminds us that “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” God isn’t only preparing something for you. He’s preparing something in you.
So don’t despise the season you’re in. If the door hasn’t opened yet, keep growing. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep learning. Keep trusting.
Because when God finally places you in the position He has prepared, you’ll understand why He spent so much time preparing you.
God has already prepared the way. He is just preparing you.
Pray with me: Father God, thank You for going before me. Help me trust Your timing and not become frustrated in seasons of preparation. Build my faith, strengthen my character, and make me ready for everything You have prepared ahead. In Jesus’ name, I pray, believe, receive, and praise in advance. Amen.
