#PraiseTheLord

Take that breath God bless you with today and give him praise, glory, and honor. Psalm 150:6 is one verse in the bible that regardless of the translation, transliteration, and/or paraphrase is worded almost identically; “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!” As you might know, Psalm 150 is a praise Psalm we use to worship God, who can deliver us from the sicknesses, burdens, demonic attacks, and bondages of Satan. The word, “praise” is derived from a Latin word which means to prize. When we praise, we are expressing our approval by valuing something or someone who has worth or merit. The word also means to “shine” or “make a show by raving and celebrating.” To praise the Lord is to prize Him and rave about Him as the only one worthy of glory and honor. When praise becomes a priority in your life, you will miraculously witness the power of God working through your life! God is not only good, He is great and God is great all the time, not half the time or just on Sunday. God wants to be a part of our daily lives and our daily praise. He values time with us. He cherishes it when we thank Him. So today remember to take that breath He gave you and do something with it! Praising God in every circumstance produces joy and pleases God. God gets glory from every act of praise no matter what shape or form.

BREAKTHROUGH!

Father God, I may not understand how everything will work out, but I choose to place my faith and trust in You! Right now, I don’t see a way, but I know that You can make a way, out of no way! I have faith at this very moment You are touching hearts, opening doors, closing doors, canceling demonic assignments, and lining up the right breaks and opportunities. Though things may appear dark and bleak right now, I have faith that my dawn is coming! As the Psalmist says in Psalm 30:5 , “…in Your favor; weeping endures for a night but joy cometh in the morning!” Father God, I declare and decree that my manifold breakthrough is getting ready to break through and this glass ceiling that has been restraining me from experience all of You is getting ready to shatter so that, I can receive the vertical blessing that You have been waiting to pour out over my life that will change my horizontal situation for the rest of my life. Father God, I am reminded of your word penned in 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For my light and momentary affliction is producing for me an eternal glory that is far beyond comparison.”

Thank You Lord for restoration, elevation, and manifestation, in Jesus’ life preserving and enduring name, amen and amen and amen!

BIG GOD——BIG MIRACLES

We serve a BIG GOD that can do BIG MIRACLES! We serve a God that thinks about our lives, our world, and his creation on a completely different level than even the smartest human has the capacity to think (Isaiah 55:8-9). It’s easy for us to become discouraged when we fail to see things from God’s omniscient perspective. Let me put it this way, when things don’t go our way, our tendency is to ask ‘Why, God, why?’ But what we should be asking is ‘What, God, what?’ What miracle is he trying perform in our lives? I get it, it’s impossible to know the transcending thoughts of God but we do have empirical evidence that proves God will inform us about what he is doing through prayer and through faith he will bring it to past. A.W. Tozer says, “Because God knows all things perfectly, he knows no thing better than any other thing, but all things equally well. He never discovers anything, he is never surprised, never amazed.” Below is a non-exhaustive list of some amazing BIG MIRACLES; there are hundreds more in the Bible but for the sake of time let’s start with these:

  1. Abraham and Sarah have a baby in Genesis 12-21. They were both over 90 at the time of his birth.
  2. The plagues fell upon Egypt. Exodus 7-12.
  3. God parted the Red Sea to allow the Israelites to pass through on dry land surrounded by two enormous walls of water. Exodus 12-14.
  4. God sent manna to feed the Israelites. It fell from heaven like the dew. They could only collect what they needed for one day or it would spoil. Exodus 16.
  5. A poor widow prepares her last meal for the prophet Elijah and it lasts for many days. 1 Kings 17.
  6. A man was healed of leprosy after washing in the river seven times. 2 Kings 5.
  7. Three men are rescued out of a super heated furnace without even being singed. Daniel 3.
  8. Daniel spends the night in a pit of hungry lions and walks out the next day. Daniel 6.
  9. A virgin gave birth to a baby. Matthew 1, Luke 1-2.
  10. Jesus and Peter walk on water in a Cat V Hurricane. Matthew 14, Mark 6.
  11. A paralyzed man got up and when told to. Matthew 9, Mark 2, Luke 5. Acts 9 (different man that the first three).
  12. Five thousand people were fed with only five loaves of bread and two fish. Matthew 14, Mark 6, Luke 9, and John 6.
  13. Jesus drives the demon out of a possessed boy. Matthew 17.
  14. Lazarus was raised from the dead three days after he died. John 11.
  15. Peter is delivered out of prison by an angel. Acts 12.
  16. Paul & Silas prison doors are opened by an earthquake. Acts 16.

Another HUGE MIRACLE that’s not penned in the canonized scriptures is your birth! If you are reading this message, God has a BIG PURPOSE for you to PURSUE and FULFILL! So when life becomes too overwhelming always remember the God we serve that is able to do BIG MIRACLES!

G>/\s&\/s

We all experience highs and lows in life. However, we must learn never to forget that God is greater than our \/s &/\s! The prophet Elijah was not only a spokesman for this concept, he was also a client. A few of Elijah’s highs consisted of God provided an unlimited supply of flour and oil for a widow where he had stayed. When the widow’s son got sick and died, Elijah through the power of Jesus resurrected him. Elijah won a battle against 450 prophets of Baal. Fire came down from heaven and consumed his offering on the altar in Mount Carmel (I Kings 18:20-30). Then Elijah prayed, and heavy rain came after seven years of drought and famine. Elijah outran the chariot of King Ahab with his God-given speed (1 Kings 18:46). In sterling contrast to Elijah’s spectacular highs, he acutely suffered great distress after the idolatrous Queen, Jezebel threatened to kill him (I King 19-20). He ran away to the wilderness and asked God to take his life. He was filled with hopelessness, fear, and despair. BUT in a stunning and remarkable ‘Rocky Balboa’ style comeback, an Angel of the Lord came and gave him food and drink (I Kings 17:2-16). In the end of Elijah’s life he didn’t experience a natural death rather, God transported him to heaven in a whirlwind ( II Kings 2:11-12). My point of encouragement is that our Abba Father knows what to do and what’s best for us when we are confronted with difficult circumstances. Therefore, we shouldn’t tune our focus merely at the negative side or front side of the obstacle(s). It behooves us to remember Elijah’s back story and how God’s upper story plan was greater than his highs and lows. As we trace back history, as early as yesterday, we should recognize and be grateful for the love God has given us and the unlimited of grace and mercy He has extends. Our hearts should be filled with gratitude and humility just like Elisha in II Kings 2:12. Despite the pangs of life, God has wonderful things in stored for our future much like, Elijah, Elisha, Peter, Paul, Moses, Noah, and all those that have preceded us in the faith because God is greater than our than our \/s&/\s!!

Embrace It!

God is the One who loved you first and loves you most. God’s sacrificial love paid your sin debt-in-full through Christ’s finish work on the cross(Romans 5:8). His love for you is so deep that He knows you by name, he knows the number of hairs on your head (Luke 12:7), and refuses to leave or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). He chooses to be present with you in any situation you face. God’s love for you is not based on what you’ve done rather, it’s based on who He is and what Christ did on the cross. He extends love to His children because He is love (1 John 4:8). God loves you and there’s nothing you can do to change that! God’s love can restore what the Enemy meant for ruin. (Gen 50:20). God loves you enough to use imperfect people to accomplish His perfect will (Isaiah 46:10). God loves you unconditionally and through Jesus’ sacrifice you are made new (2 Cor 5:17). So today pick your head up and look up; know that you are loved by the One☝🏾who loves you the most! You are blessed by the best with no contest! Can I get one witness that believes absolutely nothing can ever get between us and God’s love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us (Romans 8:39)?!

🏳Surrender 🏳

You will continue to sense a void in your life until the Holy Spirt heals you from within, your emotions become whole, and you surrender every hurt to foot of the cross. Jesus made you to be complete only through Him. God is the only One that can heal us of our natural emotions but this type of healing will cost us getting out of our own way! As long as we are in charge God’s power can’t fully flow through our lives. Psalm 9:10 says, “And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you.” When we surrender by seeking God, the scripture above is saying He can be found and not only that He will restore. If we chose to alienate ourselves from God, He will bring us to a place where we are totally dependent and totally surrendered upon his leading. God desire for us that we live a Spirit controlled life and not a flesh controlled life. Most people live independently of the Holy Spirit every day. They never give it a second thought. We need to realize that we have no one else to turn to. Dependence and surrender go hand in hand. We can’t fully surrender our will until we are convinced we are in a hopeless situation. Sadly, as long as we see a way out, we will generally opt for it. Look at from this perspective; you can’t help a drowning man until he stops trying to help himself. He will pull you under and both of you will drown. With that being said, are you ready to surrender? What is it that you are holding on to? How long are you going to keep fighting God? John 3:30 says, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” You have no idea what God will do through your life when you completely surrender your life to Jesus!

What Kinda Home Are You Building?

Proverbs 18:24 says, “DEATH AND LIFE ARE IN THE TONGUE.” With that being said, please fill-in the blank at least one positive attribute about yourself that you’ve forgotten about (I am ________enough). Now can I get at least one witness that knows the power of speaking life into their lives? Too many believers are ‘low-key’ killing themselves by the words that treadmill in their own heads. (E.g. “I am not good enough”, “I am not cute enough”, “I am not confident enough”, and “I am not smart enough” etc…) Thoughts and words framed our world. Unfortunately, we either knowingly and/or unknowingly kill ourselves with them. Our words have the tendency to kill our hope, self-esteem, confidence, desire, song, joy, peace, and beauty. Proverbs 16:24 prescribed the remedy to this negative mindset and it says, “Gracious words are like a honeycomb sweetness to the soul and health to the body”. You may be thinking, “How can I speak life when I don’t ‘feel’ like life is going in my direction nor my favor?” Well, you don’t have to ‘feel it’ to speak life into it! Stop trusting in yourself and start trusting in God’s word. Quit talking negatively about yourself, and begin to bring the words of your mouth into agreement with the truths God has deposited in your life. God’s Word says you’re healed, so begin to say you’re healed. God’s Word says you have the mind of Christ, so begin to say you have the mind of Christ. God’s Word says you’re blessed, so begin to say you’re blessed. God’s Word say that you were skillfully and wonderfully made! The key to turning your life around is practicing positive self-talk, daily. Remember who you are and Whose you are. Speak the Word over your life by declaring and decreeing you are who He has created you to be, you have all that He has given you to live your best life, and you will do exactly what He has divinely purposed you to do.

JUST DON’T QUIT!

DOn’t quIT!! Every difficulty is an opportunity in disguise! Galatians 6:9 says, “So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.” Psalm 27:14 put it this way, “Stay with God! Take heart. Don’t quit. I’ll say it again: Stay with God.” This is not the season to give up rather, it time that you rise up! Can I get at least one witness that is as fiercely determined as Nehemiah was because, he didn’t give up building the walls of Jericho despite the fierce opposition he faced. Caleb never gave up on the promise of God, and he conquered a giant-infested, fortified hill country when he was 85 years old. David didn’t throw in the towel after seeing Goliath! And, Jesus persevered all the way to the cross. “Consider him who endured such opposition from sinners, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart” (Hebrews 12:3). Beloved of God, when we give up too soon, we lose out on all God planned to do through and for us. So as I mentioned above, stay with God, don’t quit, and keep grinding because every difficulty is indeed an opportunity!!

#MoveForward

Stop giving CPR to dead situations in your life! Live for today and not in yesterday’s drama because tomorrow ain’t promised to no one! Psalm 90:12 says, “Teach us to number our days…..” Make note, there was a “DO NOT RESUSCITATE” order issued because God is getting ready to do a “NEW THING” in your life in this season of refreshment, renewal, revival, and restoration! Isaiah 43:18-19 gives us confirmation and it says, “Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” Don’t let people, this world, the enemy, or even yourself convince you that you aren’t living in God’s purpose. God is God and He works all things, including your life, according to his divine plan, will, and purpose (Rom 8:28). So, stop breathing life into your past and start breathing life in your present. Luke 9:62 says, “No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God” and C.S. Lewis said, “You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” It’s not so much of how you start rather, how you finish….so finish strong! #MoveForward

To Lay Down Your Life!

In his book, The Five Love Languages, Gary Chapman provides insight in how to improve the quality of romantic relationships through understanding your partner’s native love language. The 5 expressions of love he list in the book are; physical touch, acts of service, words of affirmation, quality time, and receiving gifts. I truly love the content of his book and it’s an awesome study guide for small groups or to share with your partner. However, the Bible translation of love is depicted a little more sacrificially. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 (MSG) we find that true love is best exampled through our selfless sacrificial actions. It reads, “If I give everything I own to the poor and even go to the stake to be burned as a martyr, but I don’t love, I gotten nowhere. So, no matter what I say, what I believe, and what I do, I’m bankrupt without love. Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others, Doesn’t revel when others grovel, Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth, Puts up with anything, Trusts God always, Always looks for the best, Never looks back, But keeps going to the end.” John 15:13 adds the exclamation to the end by reminding all of us, “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends!” Happy Valentine’s Day♥️
