In 2009 America’s Home Place came to Texas to help those along the Gulf Coast recover after Hurricane Ike.
“What brought America’s Home Place into Texas was Hurricane Ike,” General Manager Lowell Pinnock said. “For six years they helped rebuild the lives of many victims after the disaster.”
While building the disaster recovery homes, the company noticed the need to expand their build on your lot program to the Texas Region. As it turned out, that is what America’s Home Place specialized in for the last 46 years.
America’s Home Place is excited to announce that they are moving to Alvin in the coming weeks to help potential homeowners design and build their new forever home!
The custom home builder is in the process of finishing up their new, state of the art, showroom in Alvin, or as Lowell Pinnock calls it, a “home within a showroom/building center.”
The new Alvin office will replace the company’s longtime office in Galveston as the company moves to make it more convenient for potential homeowners to visit their showroom/building center and to better geographical position itself from a jobsite management standpoint.
“We are a custom home builder,” Pinnock said. “Ideally, we take our plans and customize them to fit the needs and lifestyle for each of our home owners. We do not build two homes that are the same.”
While building homes along the Gulf Coast, one thing America’s Home Place noticed is more and more of the customers were from the Alvin area. Therefore, America’s Home Place decided to make a move, building its new showroom/building center in the heart of Alvin.
“Alvin was the hub, the heart,” Pinnock said. “Our customers were already here. This is where the homeowners are, so it made perfect sense to make it more convenient for them to come to us.”
What they are building in Alvin is much more than just an office. It’s a “home within a showroom” and it will allow customers to see everything America’s Home Place can do in one convenient location.
The showroom/building center is really a home. The offices are built to showcase the different exterior elevations the company offers; there will be a full kitchen/dining space, open floor plan layout, a master bedroom suite, and a variety of interior selections.
“This will be a village of homes when you walk in,” Pinnock said. “It gives the customer an opportunity to see exactly how we build our homes on their respective home sites.”
