FAILURE IS FINAL

If you “FAIL”, never give up because F.A.I.L. means “FIRST ATTEMPT IN LEARNING”. The “END” is not the END, in fact E.N.D. means “EFFORT NEVER DIES.” If you get “NO” as an answer, remember N.O. means”NEXT OPPORTUNITY”. So continue moving forward and be encouraged!

#PEACEBESTILL

The Enemy yearns for us to doubt God’s ability to see us through the storms we encounter throughout life whereas, God reminds us that He has the power to calm these storms. (As told in the three Synoptic Gospels, Matthew, Mark, and Luke). God never promised we will never see a storm in life (as a matter of fact, He has told us to expect trouble, John 16:33). It’s incumbent upon us to remember; God is omniscient and nothing gets by His watchful eye. Hebrew 4:13 says, “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes, and he is the one to whom we are accountable.” So if you or someone else you know is presently enduring a storm remember our faith in Christ is never misplaced. If He can calm the storms of the sea with one word, He can also calm the storms we endure in life as well. God is the ‘EYE’ (Peace) in the center of our storms!

WHAT IS LOVE?

What is the greatest of all commandments? Well in Mark 12:28-31 Jesus responded to one of the teachers of the law by saying, “The first is to ‘love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength’ and the second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.” Saints dipped in the resurrecting blood of Christ make note; this is not a request, rather a command. If God can love the unlovable in us why can’t we love the unlovable in others? 1 John 4:20 says, “someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? Love is not a in the moment type deal; it’s a lifestyle. So today rather than holding onto anger, bitterness, and/or resentment, choose love! Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

LEAVING THE PAST BEHIND YOU!

There is absolutely nothing you can do about the past other than to keep moving forward. Ephesians 4:22-23 is a very encouraging passage of scripture. It says, “Strip yourselves of your former nature.… And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude]” (AMP).
In other words, you can overcome any negative situation or pain from your past if you will just get with God and say, “Yes, I did this and I stand in agreement with you that I fell short of Your glory. But I also know that You are on my side and that Your plan for me will always be greater than my past.” So today, don’t fix your eyes on your past rather fix your eyes on Jesus, who is the Author and Finisher of your faith. (Hebrews 12:2) I have heard it said, “The storms and winds that were meant to hold you back and break you; God will use them to thrust you forward!

Disappointed?

I am of the spiritual conviction that life’s disappointments are just ways of God saying that He has something better in store. So today if things aren’t going good remember that patience is a virtue, all the days of your life were pre-written even before one day came to pass, lean not on your own understanding, and that God never ends on a negative! Despite the test, trial, or problem true joy is found in your praise and God will always inhabits the praise of His people.

GOD AIN’T DONE

When Naomi and her ‘ride or die’ daughter-n-law, Ruth returned to Bethlehem after 10 years of living in Moab, the whole town was stirred with excitement. In Ruth 1:19, all the women said, “Can this be Naomi?” In vv. 20-21, Naomi humbly responds, “Don’t call me Naomi instead, call me Mara, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me. I went away full, but the LORD has brought me home empty. Why call me Naomi when the LORD has caused me to suffer and the Almighty has sent such tragedy upon me?” Naomi was riddled with past and present afflictions. Naomi name in Hebrew means pleasant but, she felt there was nothing pleasant in her current situation nor in her present circumstances. Have you ever been there? Just when things are going well, God switches gears and you really don’t know ‘why’ nor ‘what’ He is doing. Here’s the deal, after all Naomi suffered, she did not stop believing God. Although she did not completely understand the ‘why’ and the ‘what’s next’, she remained resiliently humble because she knew God was in control. If this messages speaks to your present situation, know that God got your back and he never ends on negative. If it’s still bad God ain’t done yet!!

EXTENDING GRACE

God’s grace is immeasurable, incomprehensible, and infallible. There is nothing good nor bad we could ever do to earn it or lose it. As a repeat offender, I know that I am not a worthy recipient of the grace God extends to me everyday! I have raised one adult child and my wife and I are in the process of raising 2 more. I have never lost patience with either of them…..yeah right!! My wife would be the first to testify that I am truly a work in progress! Grace is easy to receive but at times difficult to extend, but not for God! So why is it so difficult for us? There are a barrage of many different reasons however; in his book Putting a Face on Grace, Richard Blackaby suggests that we do the following:
•Speak words intended to build up, not to bring down.

• Focus on the needs of others, rather than your own.

•Freely forgive.

•Swallow your pride and say, “I’m sorry,” and “I was wrong.”

•Live your life with a goal of “no regrets.”

•Don’t keep score of what is fair.

•Don’t condemn or give up on people.

•Emphasize mercy, not justice.

•Read 1 Corinthians 13 regularly.
And always keep in mind that it is God’s Spirit within us who will change us into becoming people who extend grace to others.

NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE!

Contrary to popular teaching, faith is not mental delusion, presumption or self-deception, but a work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. Therefore, God will sometimes takes us into troubled waters NOT to drown us but to test us!

The bible says that Jesus was Holy Spirit led into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil! (Matt 4:1) You see, true faith will sometimes bend under fire but it will never break. The good news is that for those who are in Christ, NOThing IS IMPOSSIBLE.

2 Corinthians 4:7-10 confirms, “But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. We are troubled on every side, yet NOT distressed; we are perplexed, but NOT in despair; Persecuted, but NOT forsaken; cast down, but NOT destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.”
So today if your faith is being tested make note; untested faith can’t be trusted.
