CHRISTIANS GOT TALENT

“The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!'” (Matt 25:21) In this parable, the Author (Jesus) is giving us an advance hint of what is to come later in our story and this literary device is known as foreshadowing. In contrast to one who was given 5 bags of gold, the dude who received 1 bag of gold chose to operated in the spirit of fear and slothfulness. Therefore, he did nothing with what his Master had given him. How many of us have taken that ‘one’ gift God has bequeathed and buried it in fear?

If this message is for you, I have orders from the Master that grants you authority to exhume that gift, talent, or treasure! So today, remember our talents are given to us not to be buried, rather to use them in concert with God’s divine plan and His Kingdom purpose.

BREATH LIFE

Father, it was Your word and Your breath that procreated life for all of humanity.

Today Father, I ask that you would breathe life over every area in our lives. Breathe life in our families, marriages, relationships, jobs, schools, businesses, finances, government, and any physical, mental, physiological, and/or emotional sicknesses.
If the from four winds, You are able to breathe life into dry bones, we know that You are able to breathe life in every situation! Thank You Lord for Your breath that brings refreshment, revival, and renewal. In Jesus’ name, amen!

My Manger King

The glorious truth is that while Jesus was nailed to the cross His hands still held the stars in their sockets!

While blinded with blood, sweat and human spittle, His eyes were still in every place beholding the good and the evil! He is a Wonder of wonders!

The men who lifted the cross with him upon it did so exclusively by the power that He himself granted their limbs!

The breath they used to curse him came from the Person they cursed! The sun that baked Him burned only by His own power and after He died, the grave He was buried in couldn’t hold Him. It was love that sent Him to this world and it’s was His Love that came for me. It was His Love that rescued me. It was His Love that called my name; His love took my place and all I can say is, “Sweet Lamb of God, I’m bowing down. My eyes have seen and I’m finally free. Thank You Lord, because Your Love rescued me. ”

STAND FIRM

Martin Luther once said that a ship belongs in the sea, but when the sea gets inside the ship it’s doomed to sink. As we journey through our our lower story, it’s easy to lose sight of our purpose. The world is much like the Luther’s ship analogy; it desires only to infiltrate our minds, hearts, and spirits with it’s junk (aka) worldly treasures! If we don’t rid and then guard ourselves from worldly junk we too like the ship are doomed to sink into complacency, discouragement, and depression. The enemy of this world objective is to render us weak and powerless. However, we must stand by faith like Paul instructed Jude to “earnestly contend for the faith that was once delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). The word he used is a strong word that denotes wrestling for the faith. Have you ever had to wrestle with getting out of bed, forgiving and/or extending grace to others that deserves condemning? So today, let’s not get tired of doing what is good because at just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up. (Galatians 6:9)

THE WHY?

I recently watched a video about a Christian comedian who spends about 30 minutes out of each of his shows to interact with his audience. During one of his shows he randomly asked a man who was a choir director to sing Amazing Grace. The gentleman really did a good job. But the comedian asked him to sing it like he lost someone that was special to him. (Something like that) This dude sang with passion, vigor, and conviction. He literally ripped the song to pieces. The comedian was illustrating the difference between understanding the ‘why’ from the ‘what’. When the gentlemen sang Amazing Grace the first time, he really didn’t know why he was picked to sing. But, the second go round he understood the why and boy did he bring it home. If you are doing what you’re doing without understanding the why you are doing it, you’re probably not doing it to the best of your capacity. Understand your why and the what, when, how, who, and where will take care of itself!

CYBER MONDAY SPECIAL!

Lord God, we know that You know, that Monday’s can be tough and Monday after Thanksgiving break can be rough. However, I pray that You would grant us infectious motivational power, strength, and clarity. Your word in Isaiah 40:29 says, “He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless.” Father thank You for Your touch, breath, and our Savior. In Jesus name! Amen

ARE YOU REALLY A CHRISTIAN?

We wear, install andtattoo the symbolic cross emblems on our bodies, chapels, churches, and temples. However, true Christianity is best lived out from the hearts of his people. Christianity isn’t simply a matter of outward activity or sincerity of belief? Sincerity is an admirable quality, but it is no criteria for the truth. Romans 8:9: “Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.” Boom there it is! God’s definition of a Christian! If one does not have, possess, and follow the Holy Spirit of God, he is not a Bible-defined Christian no matter what he says, how he acts, or what he teaches. The Holy Spirit is the essence, power, mind, and spiritual extension of God. God begets Christians as His sons and daughters through His Spirit. It strengthens and fortifies a Christian spiritually, converts his mind, leads and guides him as necessary, and serves as an earnest or guarantee of eternal life (Ephesians 1:13–14). Christianity—”the way of Christ”—is a program of behavior modification and character development. We are to grow, change, and overcome (2 Peter 3:18), to become more and more like Jesus Christ in thought, word, and deed. True Christianity has no regrets, no kickbacks, no “mornings after.” True Christianity is not a boring, never-get-to-do-anything lifestyle. True Christianity is the “Greatest Adventure Ever Lived.”

UNDER GRACE

Jesus said in John 10:10, “The enemy comes only to steal, kill, and destroy….” Satan wants to remind us of our sins whereas, Christ wants to remind us that He died and rose for the forgiveness of our sins. Jesus concludes V10 by saying, “I came so that you may have life and have it more abundantly.” Beloved of God, we don’t live under the law of sin and death, rather for those who are in Christ, we live under indispensable, irrevocable, incomprehensible, and immeasurable grace.

TAKE THE NEXT STEP!

In Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, Jesus is God, Man, and the Messiah. In the book of Acts, He is the fire from heaven. In the letter to the Romans, He is the grace of God. In Corinthians and like Celine Dion sang in 93′, He is the power of love. In Galatians, He is the freedom from the curse of sin. And today that freedom is available to you; as it was yesterday and will be forevermore! I know where the spirit of the Lord dwells, there is freedom and liberty. If you have already accepted Christ, great. But, if you have not truly experience a touch from Jesus take the next step today and make Jesus the Lord of your life. Trust me, it’s one decision you will never regret nor forget making!

HE IS FAITHFUL

Repeat after me, “The promises of God are always YES and AMEN! Paul writes in 2Corinthians 1:20, “For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.” So today know that nothing can render God’s promises more certain: his giving them through Christ, assures us they are his promises and as we all know his word will never return void, but it will accomplish what he desires and it will achieve the purpose for which he sent [promised] it. (Isaiah 55:11)
