Chuck Swindoll said, “Most folks read through the Bible and casually notice birds, plants, trees, and wind. But not you! Aim higher than that. Think of your eyes as searchlights. Become a glutton for details in everyday life. Don’t glance at birds—see sparrows. Don’t smell flowers, observe the hyacinth, the fuchsia, the tulip. Don’t consider a tree—look at a willow or a birch. Don’t watch cars, notice Fords or Pontiacs and Toyotas. Don’t simply hear others’ words—listen for feelings and picture detailed concepts. Stop collecting the garbage of generalities and start stretching your mental muscles in the gymnasium of in-depth perception.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.”

Can you believe that in nearly 5 months 2014 will be history? With that said, I know that each of us have experienced big highs and some ground hitting lows however; it was on my heart to remind you that whatever the case, God is still God and He is in control. God loves us with an incomprehensible, infallible, and unmatchable agape love. Watch this; ctrl+alt+del is the command which invokes a task manager or security related component that facilitates ending or restarting windows. It this command that enables the user control over the entire iOS. In most cases, a system shut down is not necessary however; a system restart or refresh may be the better solution. Jeremiah 31:25 says, “For I will satisfy [refresh] the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.” So today don’t shut down, keep pressing forward, and remember that God is still God and He is in control! Your latter will be greater!!

There is nothing created that can ever satisfy my inner most being other than God the Creator. My soul thirst for more than what this world offers. I can certainly relate with Asaph, the son of Berechiah who authored and/or transcribed Psalm 73:26. It reads, “My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength (rock) of my heart and my portion forever.” So today be reminded this world and all of its glory will soon vanish but God will forever exist to be and He will always be our God!!

We are all acutely nearsighted when it comes to recognizing Christ’s finished work in us. The truest Christian dilemma is to know who Christ is and who we are in Christ. Part of our TRANSFORMATION process is simply understanding that we cannot remain as we were and enter into the presence of a holy God. We must “die” to self and be “hidden” in the righteousness of Christ. Unfortunately people undoubtedly see what they use to be however and conversely; God no longer sees our imperfections; He sees the righteousness of His own Son instead, (Ephesians 2:13; Hebrews 8:12). Because we are in Christ, God sees Christ’s righteousness covering us. So today remember last year ended last year, yesterday ended last night, today is a new day, and your greatest blessing is always in front of you!

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God because He who is faithful never breaks His promises.
